Here are the basic vastu principles for home.
- When you are constructing your house Prefer north or east facing houses.
- Prefer more open land in north and east than south and west.
- Boring or well should be in north-east direction.
- North-East or center or house is the best place to be performed Bhoomi Pujan.
- First start excavation from north-west.
- Start foundation from south-west.
- Kitchen should be in south-east, sink should be on left side of the platform and gas (cooking range) should be on right side of the platform. And while cooking the food direction of your body should be in east.
- Dining room should be in the west.
- The Doors of the each room should be east facing.
- Never fix a mirror on south and west wall if possible.
- The direction of Toilets & bathrooms should be in south-east or north-west portion.
- Bedrooms should be in south and west.
- Master bed room should be in south-west.
- While sleeping in your bed, head should be in south or west but never in north
- Pooja room should be in north east.
- Toilet seat Should be in north-south only. It should not be east-west.
- Septic tank should be in central-east towards south or central-north towards west.
- Staircase should be in south, west or south-west but if it is wooden than it can be anywhere even in north or east.
- Overhead water tank should be in South-west. And if it is in north-west, then any other higher structure to be made in south-west.
- Under ground Constructions should be in north or east.
