Model Speech/Business Plan for Introducing a Designer’s Boutique

Ladies, Gentlemen and Children,

This is a very special occasion for the “The All-Family Apparel.”  Inviting children for the presentation of a business plan? I get some calls that this is unusual. We agree with you. We are known and we take pleasure in doing the unusual! We, of The All-Family Apparel, believe that fashion is a family asset. Who will not be fascinated to watch a best-dressed family! Don’t you like your children attractively dressed? A wrong notion prevails in the minds of the clients that designer apparel is costly. Not all. The dresses, ordered for special occasions, like wedding, fashion parades etc may be costly. The average designer apparel is not that costly. The difference in the price range is marginal. But taking into consideration the fabric used, and special care taken in making the product, that difference is worth the buy from a long term perspective. We are well-acquainted with most of you as you have dealt with us in the past. We also have some special invitees.

Your time is precious and I desire to get to the point straightaway. A copy of the business plan was mailed to you along with the invitation card for this meeting and I take it that you have read it.  Let me only touch the highlights.

‘You are an ‘infant’ in the world of fashion business, with just eight showrooms all over the world’—we often hear such comments from our competitors. But as for quality and innovation, we are not an ‘infant’ but an ‘elephant!’ It’s true that we have six Branches in USA and two overseas Branches in London and Paris. We have hundreds of distributors, but we admit that a time has come in the context of globalization and internet revolution that has engulfed the fashion wear, that our direct presence in the vicinity of the clientele is a business necessity. “The All- Family Apparel”, in ten years opened just 8 showrooms. In the coming twelve months we have finalized plans to open 18 new showrooms, manned by company’s own trained personnel. In one year, the estimated turnover is expected to be more than the sum total of what we achieved in the past ten years!

My appeal is simple and straightforward. This expansion devolves a big financial outlay.  Be a partner in our progress. The handouts of the Fixed Deposits and Monthly Deposit Schemes are with you. The monthly Deposit Scheme, if opened in the name of your minor children, will fetch an additional interest of 1%. On Fixed Deposits in the name of senior citizens,   2% extra interest is given. Interest is paid at half-yearly rests, but the Senior Citizens have the option to seek payment of interest every month.
