Feng Shui Kua or Gua Number: All over the world several fortune tellers advice their clients to use Feng Shui Kua Numbers (FSKN) to boost their good luck. These numbers are also referred to as Feng Shui Gua numbers.
Kua Elements: The Kua numbers correspond to the five different things called elements in Kua Number Astrology. These are : Water, Wood, Earth, Metal & Fire. The kua number 1 corresponds to the element water, while the numbers 3 and 4 correspond to the element wood. The numbers 2, 5 and 8 correspond to the earth element and the numbers 6 and 7 to metal. The kua number 9 corresponds to the element fire.
Kua or Gua numbers range from 1 to 9, alike numerology. These numbers are calculated using one’s date of birth and gender and they identify different human personalities and factors affecting their lives.
The Kua or Gua number gives us the knowledge of auspicious and inauspicious directions for a person. According to Feng Shui, each person has 4 good directions and 4 bad directions which are based on one’s Kua number.
Kua Groups : Broadly, Feng Shui classifies people into 2 groups: East and West groups. Each person belongs to either one or the other group according to their feng shui Kua number. The East Group Kua numbers are 1, 3, 4 and 9. The West Group Kua numbers are 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Clearly, by knowing which 4 Directions are your good directions, you can maximise your luck by facing those good directions in most situations.
Lucky Directions: In fact your lucky feng shui directions help you attract the feng shui energy which is most beneficial for you.
Calculating Kua Numbers: These numbers are calculated on the basis of your birth date ands gender. They are calculated differently for females than for males.
For males, the kua number are calculated as follows: The two last numbers of their year birth should be added and then reduced to just one digit. That last digit should be deducted from 10 and the result will be the Kua number.
For example, if you are a male, born in 1985, then you should first add 8+5 = 13. Then add 1 + 3 = 4, and then 10 – 4 = 6; that last digit would be your Kua number.
For ladies, the kua number is calculated differently: First add the last two numbers of your birth date, then reduce it to one digit, and then add 5 to the result. For example, if you are a female born in 1987 you should add 8 + 7 = 15 and then add 1 + 5 = 6. Then add 6 + 5 = 11; 1+1=2 this last digit would be your Kua number.
Exception: There is an exception when the result is 5, either for males or for females, and that number must be changed for another. When this happens, and if you are a male, your kua number would be 2, and if you are a female your number would be 8. Therefore, Kua numbers go from 1 to 9 but without having the number 5 in the list.
In my next post I would explain about all these numbers and their use.
